Myocardial ASL perfusion reserve test detects ischemic segments in initial cohort of 10 patients with angiographic CAD

چکیده
Background Myocardial ASL is a technique for the assessment of myocardial blood flow (MBF) without contrast agents. It can be safely applied to patients with end-stage renal disease who are not candidates for first-pass imaging with contrast agents. Myocardial ASL perfusion imaging performed at rest and during adenosine stress provides perfusion reserve (MBFstress/MBFrest), which is a common indicator for the severity of coronary artery disease. In healthy myocardium, perfusion reserve is known to be approximately four [1].

Arterial spin labeled MRI detects clinically relevant increases in myocardial blood flow with vasodilatation
OBJECTIVES This study sought to determine whether arterial spin labeled (ASL) cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) is capable of detecting clinically relevant increases in regional myocardial blood flow (MBF) with vasodilator stress testing in human myocardium. BACKGROUND Measurements of regional myocardial perfusion at rest and during vasodilatation are used to determine perfusion reserve, which...
متن کاملTransient Ischemic Dilatation Ratio in Stress Myocardial Perfusion SPECT in Diabetic Patients-A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Abstract Objective: Abnormal values of the transient ischemic dilation (TID) ratio are associated with severe and extensive coronary artery disease (CAD). TID can be used as a diagnostic and prognostic marker of CAD in diabetic patients. The aim of current study was to determine the pooled estimate of TID ratio in single myocardial perfusion scan in diabetic patients by a systematic review and...
متن کاملThe value of myocardial perfusion imaging in differentiating between idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy from the ischemic form [Persian]
Introduction: Differentiating between ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) and idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDCM) is important as coronary revascularization can improve prognosis in the ischemic subgroup. Due to inherent problems of coronary angiography in patients with depressed ejection fraction (EF) introducing a noninvasive tool to diagnose those who will benefit from angiography seems...
متن کاملQuantitative magnetic resonance perfusion imaging detects anatomic and physiologic coronary artery disease as measured by coronary angiography and fractional flow reserve.
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the ability of quantitative perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) to assess the hemodynamic significance of coronary artery disease (CAD) compared with well-established anatomic and physiologic techniques. BACKGROUND Fractional flow reserve (FFR) is considered by many investigators to be a reliable stenosis-specific method to determine hemodynamically significant C...
متن کاملMyocardial perfusion scan accuracy in detection of coronary artery disease - Comparison with exercise stress test [Persian]
Introduction: In patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) noninvasive evaluation for detection of ischemia is important to avoid invasive interventions like angiography. Exercise stress test is conventionally the first study used in evaluation of CAD. Considering the noninvasive nature of the myocardial perfusion scan, we decided to compare its accuracy with stress test. Methods: Patie...
